Seek failure; it’s a feature of growth. Too often, we settle for satisfactory, acceptable, adequate. Mediocre becomes the standard, because the price of excellence is failure.
We’ve constructed artificial benchmarks for our success criteria. The goal should be to strive and miss. To come up short. Failure is a far better teacher. Instead, we lowered the bar. We say good enough is good enough.
What is the cost? What do we give up, when we choose good enough?
